The Firm

Buckley Scriven O’Regan is a Cork based Accounting and Business Advisory Service based in Blackpool, Cork. We are focused on providing client service and technical expertise. We provide our various services to clients in all areas of business based all over the country.
Our firm has been effective since September 2016 when Buckley & Co., established in 1990 by Finbarr Buckley FCCA merged with Scriven O’Regan, established in 1990 by Liam O’Regan FCCA and Ted Scriven ACA.

Our services include audit & accountancy, personal taxation, corporate taxation, business start-up, management consultancy, corporate recovery and insolvency, forensic accounting, company secretarial, bookkeeping and payroll, and also mediation services.

Our clients represent a wide range of industries and a broad spectrum of professional and commercial activities including retail, manufacture and distribution, tourism, technology and software development, healthcare, shipping, professional services, agriculture and charities. They consist of small and medium-sized companies, owner-managed businesses, Irish subsidiaries of multi-national groups and not-for-profit organisations.

Finbarr Buckley FCCA

Finbarr Buckley FCCA is a Fellow of chartered Association of Certified Accountants. Admitted as a fellow in 1993 and admitted as a member in 1988. Finbarr became a self-employed Accountant in 1990 and now acts as partner in Buckley Scriven O’Regan. Finbarr has extensive experience in finance restructuring, Revenue Audits, both personal and corporate taxation matters, business start-ups and business structures.

Eddie O'Shea BBS FCCA

Eddie O’Shea BBS FCCA is a Fellow Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Bachelor of Business Studies (Accountancy) graduate from CIT. Eddie has responsibility for planning and overseeing the provision services to various range of clients. Eddie comes with a wealth of experience with nearly 20 years of specialising in the provision of services to an array of sectors including hospitality, retail, manufacturing, engineering and construction along with Charities, non-profit Organisations and sole traders. Eddie also provides business advisory services, assisting clients with cash flow management and reporting, preparation of business plans, management accounts, systems and controls reviews. Eddie believes is that an effective engagement should have minimal impact on a client’s day to day operations while adding benefit to management, by offering advice on ways to improve controls and processes.
Noreen O'Shea

Noreen O'Shea BBS CPA AITI

Noreen O’Shea BBS CPA AITI is a Certified Public Accountant and a Bachelor of Business Studies (Accountancy) graduate from CIT. Noreen is a member of the Irish Tax Institute where she qualified as a chartered Tax Advisor. Noreen specialises in taxation and her particular areas of expertise are tax compliance and planning, Revenue Audits, succession planning and vat on property. Noreen has been with the firm since 2004.
Andrew Cotter

Andrew Cotter

Andrew Cotter is a Certified Financial Advisor and an Accounting Technician. Andrew joined the firm in 2001 and has worked closely with the firm’s clients managing payroll, (holding a certificate in IPASS Payroll) and bookkeeping services for a broad range of corporate, sole traders and partnership clients. Andrews’ areas of expertise include financial accounting and control and leading the provision of our outsourcing services ensuring that our clients have access to real time financial information.
Ger Foley

Ger Foley

Ger Foley is a client manager in the practice and has been with the firm since 1998. Ger has extensive experience in the provision of accounting and financial reporting services to our sole trader, partnership and audit exempt corporate clients. Ger also provides tax compliance services to a diverse range of non-corporate and corporate clients. Ger also has a particular interest in services to our farm accounts.
Denise O'Connell

Denise O'Connell

Denise O’Connell holds a Certificate in Office Administration from the examining body of the London Chamber of Commerce and also a Diploma in Business Studies. Denise works alongside the partners as administrative support. Denise has been with the firm since 2004.
Ciaran Murphy

Ciaran Murphy

Ciaran Murphy has been with the firm since 1991 and is a qualified Accounting Technician IATI, Ciaran works closely with the firm’s clients managing payroll and bookkeeping services for a broad range of corporate, sole traders and partnership clients.
Ciara

Ciara Nash

Ciara joined the firm in August 2022 as a Trainee Accountant with the Accounting and Audit department. Ciara roles and responsibilities include preparation of audit and audit exempt engagements, completion of tax returns and law society reports. Ciara previously graduated from University of Limerick with an honours Bachelor of Business Studies degree and is currently working towards her Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification.
Becky

Becky Robinson

Becky Robinson BA (Hons) is an ACCA trainee and a Bachelor of Accounting and Finance graduate from Griffith College Cork. Becky works in the provision of company accounts, company audits, sole trader accounts and income tax returns as well as bookkeeping and payroll services. Becky has been with the firm since 2023.
Liam O'Regan

Liam O’Regan FCCA

Liam O’Regan FCCA is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, he has extensive experience in both personal and corporate taxation matters, business start-ups, advice on accounting systems, business structures and both corporate and personal insolvency. Liam holds a Certificate in Personal Insolvency from Chartered Accountants Ireland. Liam also deals with business valuations and dispute resolutions
Greg

Greg Healy

Greg Healy is an CPA/CAI trainee and a Bachelor of Business (Honours in Accounting) graduate from MTU. Greg provides support to clients across a range of sectors. Greg's focus is the provision of bookkeeping and payroll services, along with preparing annual financial statements and income tax returns. Greg has been with the firm since 2023.
